Hints and a Walkthrough

WARNING!

BY READING THE HINTS OR THE WALKTHROUGH YOU MIGHT SPOIL YOUR GAMING EXPERIENCE! AND I AIN'T KIDDING ABOUT THIS!

So think twice before scrolling down. First, I'll write some hazy hints to the puzzles people seem to find the hardest. At the bottom of the page is a link to the complete walkthough, which will reveal everything necessary to complete the game.

If you haven't played point-n-click adventure games before, please read the readme.txt file which comes with the game. It can be found in the directory you installed the game in.

Danger, Will Robinson, spoilers below.

Run away! While you still can!

I can't persuade you to go back to the game and try to solve the puzzles by yourself, can I?

Okay, you asked for it. Here come the hints:

The phone's busted! I'm doomed!

Yes it is, and yes you are, but you're also a resourceful young pointy haired dude. Maybe a souvenir from the hacker conference might shed some light on things?

Help! I can't get rid of the snake!

Try to think what snakes are usually afraid of. And animals in general. (The snake can't be scared off before you have the right things, which aren't available until you get you car back.)

How do I get someone to tow my truck to the station?

First, talk to Sam. He is bound to have his friend's phone number written down somewhere. What was the nickname of the friend? It might have a similar ring to the friend's real name..

Oh, man, is there a way to the back room of the station?

Yep, there sure is. The window of opportunity is stuck, though. You need something to bash and something to bash with. Don't bash the window, though, that would be vandalism.

The chest! Is it openable?

It is, yes. You should read the hacker book and then keep your eyes and ears open.

I STILL CAN'T GET RID OF THE DAMN SNAKE!

Calm down. Snakes are afraid of fire. You need to think old school. Medieval, even. What did they use for lighting, then? Torches, maybe? Could you perhaps make something similar?

If the hints were not enough, you have the option to take the last step toward the abyss, and read the walkthrough. But I beg you! Don't do it! You're still so young!

Here it is.
